Uncle Eldwin and Aunt Vera Rose are now in a beautiful new home. We always remembered them on the house on the hill, where Aunt Vera Rose said she spent the last 50 years, but this new house is quite nice with Aunt Vera Rose's signature all over it. We caught up on Uncle Eldwin's health situation and it was encouraging to see that Uncle Eldwin was rejoicing in the Lord through it all. Aunt Vera Rose describes their lives as 100% different, but they see God's hand in it all. Uncle Eldwin described seeing Jesus next to him during the time of his stroke where he felt it was OK to live and it was also OK if Jesus called him home. We had a great time of mutual encouragement.
Randle, Lisa, and Bentley also joined us for lunch and for a rousing game of corn bag throw. I must admit that Randle and Bentley beat Uncle Eldwin and I pretty soundly.
Later, we were joined by Irma Wenger and David and Rachael Schrock. More great conversation, discussions around the Word, and mutual encouragement.
