The Counts in Statesboro

As if the hurricane was not bad enough, our next stop was even closer to the Atlantic coast.  This visit took us to see my cousin on my dad's side.  In fact, Grace is the daughter of my dad's twin sister, we we are especially close.  One of the highlights was catching up on all 6 of their children.  In fact, we have probably added another stop on the trip to visit their daughter Anna in New Mexico.
What was amazing is that we have not seen Grace and Bob for years, but our time around the table and fellowship was rich and it seemed as if we could just pick up where we left off.  We were also honored to be invited to their church on Sunday morning and evening.  The worship was good and we met several really neat people.
Bob and Grace were one of the few houses in the area with power, so they were making their house available for showers, meals, and even lodging if that was needed.  These are really good people and you would love getting to know these folks.  They were awesome hosts, including a tour of the Southern Georgia Univerity, they gave us a chance to recharge, and we were able to connect at a level that hopefully encouraged all of us.

This had to be cleared to get in/out of the Counts' neighborhood...
